Joan M Arenas-Prat was born in Tarragona and Graduated from Medical School at the University of Barcelona.  He completed his specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in 2001 and currently works as a Hand Surgeon in  Barcelona and has been an Associate Specialist at the Pulvertaft Hand Centre, Derby since 2004.

His area of main interest is denervation of hand joints.
