Peter Russell graduated from The Royal London Hospital in 1995 and completed his basic surgical training in Brighton. His interest in Hand and Plastic surgery developed while working at the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead.
He underwent his higher surgical training in Scotland, working at Plastic Surgery units in Dundee and Edinburgh. Towards the end of his training he came to the Pulvertaft Centre for a specialist training fellowship in Hand Surgery and followed this with the Bruce Bailey Fellowship at the Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore, India.
He continues to maintain an interest in reconstructive plastic surgery and subspecialises in Hand Surgery Trauma and Dupuytren’s disease, including needle aponeurotomy.
